A Pictorial Style krater, unique during this period for its narrative decoration of armed warriors marching in single file to the right. A woman on the far left appears to be waving goodbye.


Stemmed Cup
from Mycenae

(National Archaeological Museum, Athens)

This two-handled stemmed cup (kylix) was a popular shape during the period 1320-1240 BCE (LH IIIA-2 and early IIIB). The decorated zone shows whorl-shells in a slanted position painted in glossy red.
