Art in the Making

The Seminar
    The ultimate goal of the seminar is for each of the participants to produce a short video about the making of their own art. Preparation includes the development of both historical understanding and contemporary awareness of the type of art each is producing. Research includes delving into various ideas, theories, and philosophies about art, artists, and creativity, as well as practical matters concerning processes of production and the ways and means by which art is brought into existance

Student Responsibilities

  1. Two Seminar Reports
  2. One Show-and-Tell with video segments
  3. One ‘Art in the Making’ Video Presentation
Grading
  • First Seminar Report (inclusive of written report, presentation, and discussion) = 25%
  • Second Seminar Report (inclusive of written report, presentation, and discussion) = 25%
  • Show-and-Tell Presentation (inclusive of written report, video, and presentation) = 25%
  • ‘Art in the Making’ Video Presentation (inclusive of video, presentation, discussion, and critique) = 25%
