Student Responsibilities
- Active class participation, which includes being prepared for each class, and taking part in discussion.
- Read all the assignments before class meets, as indicated on the schedule
- Attend all class meetings
- Takes notes in class and make notes while reading the textbook
Exams
- Three non-cumulative exams. Each exam will be comprised of identifications and one or two short essay questions. They may also contain comparisons, unknowns, multiple-choice questions, and fill-in-the-blank vocabulary questions
Grading
First Exam = 30%
Second Exam = 30%
Third Exam = 30%
Attendance and Participation = 10%
Attendance
- Attendance at every class is expected. If you expect to be absent for whatever reason, notify me ahead of time. Attendance will checked intermittently over the course of the semester. Each absence without prior notification will result in a lowering of your final grade.
